Cerebus #299 & 300.
I finished reading the last two issues of the series just yesterday and I found that I was confused -- since I only buy the volume collections -- by the route of the "Latter Days" storyline. Obviously Cerebus further involved himself in religious matters, but just how that came to be, I don't know.
Aside from that, I wasn't too upset about Cerebus' death, other than it was to happen at all. The form of it, however, was what I was curious about since the turn of the new year. The fact that his death came about as a direct result of his clumsiness is pretty accurate, at least in terms of the way he led his life -- using copious amounts of ignorance and naivety. The way Cerebus would often find himself submerged in turmoil was clearly indicitive of the way he died. His carelessness and selfishness helped to bring about his demise.
I'm anxiously anticipating the arrival of Following Cerebus #1.
