A Squid Contest? That's what Grotesque Anatomy proposes. (Link via Thought Balloons.)
It's an interesting proposition, but I'd really like to read issue #2 first.
I've read the first one, and it was beautiful; witty, fun and entertaining, just as everyone has already said. However, the one thing that didn't seem to fit right, at least for me, was the ending. It was a good ending, but I thought it was too abrupt. At the end, I just had a twinge of unfulfillment, and I think that was in part because the end just didn't come slow enough; it's like riding a roller coaster and being pushed down the exit before you are even aware you're out of the ride.
Will I buy issue #2? Probably, if only to check out the squid.
