The Football Gods Shall Smite Mike Sherman.
Up 31-10 in the middle of the fourth quarter, the Packers were driving on the Detroit Lions. The drive started late in the third and the Packers were going rush-heavy, calling six rushes compared to four passes, including one incompletion. Packers face 2-9 on the Detroit 20. A rush, right? Nope, halfback pass from Ahman Green to Donald Driver, TD, and the game is all but clinched.
However, the way the Packers were rushing, it was likely that they'd get the TD without trickery, run down the clock and not appear as if they are running up the score.
As a Packer fan, I'm ashamed.
